Hi to one and all, I have just been up to Dent this weekend to try and finalise another great rideout for attendees.
I have also been having some ideas about facilities and some feed back would be appreciated.
There will be last year's rideout for those who wish, a rideout further up to the Northern Dales and another over to the Lakes.
I propose to be there from the Tuesday and will have the Marquee erected, on the Friday evening I will make Vegetarian and meat curries with rice as last year. On the Saturday evening I have thought of getting a Hog roast van to attend and with that in mind I have actually talked to a local butcher who has on of these and will bring it along if the interest is sufficient.
The plan would be to have the rideouts, getting back between 4 and 5pm and then the van arrives for @6pm, there will also be baked potatoes and a variety of salads.
I propose that this year we have a booking system and Ticket to purchase to enable me to make sure that we have sufficient camping space and enough attendees to make sure the Hog roast van is viable.
Between now and the event it would be good to have volunteers to assist with some of the tasks and lead the rideouts.
Your comments appreciated

I'm aiming for a Thursday afternoon arrival as per last year. However the missus seems to be in favour (???) of me staying on the Sunday night this time as well. So at least you'll have help breaking camp matey. Anything else just give us a shout. After all it's your R&R too.

Thanks for that Bill, your help will be appreciated.

Hi Ken, checkout the Annual Rally in the events section, more details will be posted as and when these are available.
If the Annual is as good as last year it should be quite memorable and will give you an opportunity to put names to faces, have a few beers, talk a load of crap have a good rideout and go home for a rest!

Hi Ken
I'll email you nearer the time to arrange things. I don't suppose your doing the Wolds run on Sunday from Horncastle?
-
Hi Steve
Not doing the run as my bike is not realy special enough but they did offer to let me. But Myself and a freind are having a ride over to watch. If your doing it and know the route please let me know it as they wont tell until the riders on the run know. We intended to find a pub and sit and watch them come by. If your in the run give me the detail and I will try to find you .
Cheers Ken

I did the run for the first time last year and while there were some cracking bikes there, they have a catagory called 'friends of the wolds run' which is open to pretty much everything. i got the impression that while the classic stuff was the main event, they were happy for anyone else to tag along as long as they paid the £8 entry to charity. I'm booked to start with the XBR, but i may go on my little Suzuki GN250 as there aren't many places where the XBR gets out of third or fourth!
I don'tknow this years route, I'm guessing they change it slightly each year, but i think they usually have stop halfway round at 'The green Man , at Scamblesby just down the road from cadwell park.
May see you there

OK Steve
If I was alone I may have entered but this year I shall watch from the Green Man. Would you give me the reg number of your bike and if we time it right while you all stopped I will look you up.. Forcast is not good take the wets.
