Yes, I know, its in NI. But what a great event, on next weekend, with a great bike night on Thursday evening in the village. Armoy is a very rare thing, a road race that only came into existence in recent years. How did they ever get that past all the H and S Nazis and I wouldn't like to be the person writing a Risk Assessment for a new road race :-\

And if you can't get out to NI the Aberdare Road Racing is on. http://www.aberdare-park-road-races.co.uk/

Yes, and you've never been Mark ;)
-
And I still won't be going, road racing is shit. ;)

Definitely must get over for a road race , been on my things to do list for years but something always gets in the way usually work , poor excuse I know .

Maybe biased, but I recommend the Ulster Grand Prix every August ;)

I'm going to Armoy for the road races, i'll try to get down for the bike night on Thursday eve as I will be staying at Ballycastle that night. I'll be on a red BMW F800S. All the best Dave

Nice one Dave. Just watched our local weather for Thursday, rain, clearing from mid afternoon. Not sure what bike I'll be on, but I'll be wearing a Thumper Club T shirt ;)

Great wee bike night in Armoy village last night. Didnt manage to meet up with Silver. If you were there, I was on the red Dommie. Unfortunately I didn't get any pics, but there was quite possibly, the loudest race bike I have ever heard. It had a Hillman Imp bottom end, with a Fiat Marafiora top end grafted on. The noise was off the scale, actually painful ;)

I was very near that loud bike, someone said it was an alfa engine, but what a performance to start it. Had a brilliant time and watched most of the racing by Turnarobert at the bottom of the dip under the trees. Some of the jumps were epic.
If it posts, the pic is from our viewing point.

Glad to hear you had a foot time at Armoy. I believe there were two accidents, but thankfully nothing serious :)
