As I have still to locate a manual for the project and know of no other XBR near where I live - question - could some kind soul please post a photo of the engine end of the clutch cable please ? All I have with my motor is the actuating arm and no sign of any cable location / adjustment fitting.
Many thanks.

PM me your email address and I'll send you a copy of the manual.

The cable attaches to a bracket on the starter motor, maybe the bracket has been misplaced

Many thanks for the picture and the explanation of where it goes chaps. At least I know what I need to sort out now particularly as I am going to jettison the starter motor. That is just one of the bits that will be going to the bin. Others that will be following it are likely to be entire rotor and windings, the entire wiring loom and ignition box which all seems to be unmolested ! kick start shaft and gubbins. Other bits will be slimmed down and end up as swarf in the tray on the lathe.

Sent you the manual but had to send it in 3 chunks as it was too big to attach in one go.

Aye SteveC#222,
I find the 'WeTransfer' free cloud file transfer service very useful when sending large files. No cluttering up your email or site message boxes like this. I've attached the link and I think you'll find the rest self-explanatory. ;)

I'd be pleased to buy your kickstart gubbins whenever you're ready, as my decompressor linkage to the kickstart on the engine cover has been blanked off and relocated to a manual lever on the handlebar. Whereabouts in this sunny country do you reside
Cheers, Matt (Sarf East)
