All five of the NI contingent of thumpeteers will be on our annual trip to Scotland this wnd, with our local club, The 30s Club of Ulster. There's about 60 of us heading over, staying in Aberfeldy, with the West Coast of Scotland MCC, as has been the way for over forty years now :)

Oops, bit of a typo, there. We're going to Aberfoyle. Not Aberfeldy :-\
Is that your neck of the woods Bill?

You need to try the pies from the butcher in Aberfoyle, it was a tip I picked up on from Bill(I think) a few years back and have now called there 3 times in as many years, a must. ;)
-
Excellent. Yes, I vaguely remember Bill mentioning it. Unfortunately it'll be a squeeze to fit some pies in, as our whole weekend is catered for regarding food and accom :)

Never stopped you before!
Ron.

I'll see if I can persuade Tim to get his laughing tackle round a steak and Stornaway black pudding pie, if the West Coast don't demolish them all first! ::)

Have been on holiday in the Aberfoyle area a few times. We always call into the butchers for bridies, just great.

Aye Ron, the chicken curry pies are good as well, with a bit of a "bite"! ;)
Happy trundling in the Trossachs! ;D

How did you know? Black pudding is my favourite food :)
