Title: I've got a Cougar on the front...
Post by: mthee on April 22, 2016, 11:35:50 AM
Just noticed the nearly new front tyre is a Cougar Pace GP12 💩 This is matched to a BT 45 at the rear.
Ride it (in May) and see or get shot pronto?

A quick google says they cost around £35 for a 90/90-18 :o  ( not your size but you get the picture)

Quote from Bike Chat forum

"Haaaa, I used one of those.

Let's put it this way, if a 30bhp 4 stroke single can cause them to break traction in the dry, don't expect miracles."

Also the fact that BT45's don't play well with others...I'd tend to bin it and fit another BT45 if the back is still good, if you're looking at a pair Avon road riders are good.......sorry.

A pair of Maxxis is a cheap option  ;)

BT45 on the rear is just scrubbed in. One good tyre deserves another, so I'll match it up, especially given Steve's observation, rather than chance it. Thanks.
