First pic of the modified engine I have also finished some other parts of the bike, I painted and rebuilt the rear wheel and swinging arm assembly with some more titanium bolts and washers, and the front end is rebuilt with the shortened stanchions

Looks great, congratulations :)

That looks excellent. It is so nice to see personalised bikes, especially when they are done as well as yours.
-
Thank you :) Every year I do something more to it, Keeps me occupied in winter
-
could you tell us where the wheels are from?
-
The wheels are from the late model XBR bought from another member of this site. I spent 3 years looking for a set, they are pretty tough to get hold of, I have seen a few sets on Ebay from Germany crop up from time to time, be prepared to be shocked at the price though
-
Thanks for that, i will not be paying mega bucks for them. I will either convert the comstars with stainless rings and drill the original rims or go the CB250 RS route.
If i can get a CB250 front to try at a cheap price i will try that first. I can re-spoke a wheel ok, done a few before.
Your bike looks good.

'Andsome.......but not too sure about the front mudguard.

Nice one, real grand. After all the time and effort you put into it makes yer feel real proud that it is all yer own work. Just a silly question but is the rear pillion foot rest on the nearside for a one legged passenger?
-
Thank you, it turned out quite well, and it gives me a hobby in those dark winter days. No not built for a one legged passenger probably just the camera angle
-
Bike looks great, congrats :)
