From the 5th of September until the 7th of September it will be the 24th time that The Monoconnection organizes its yearly international meeting.
Every year we have the privilege of welcoming many enthusiastic riders from West Europe who share their one cylinder passion. Do you ride a SR, SRX, MT-03, XBR, GB, DUKE, SATURNO, MUZ or any other big machine, grab your tent for the weekend and come to the Weerribben on Saturday at 10.30 a.m.
For three days long Ossenzijl, situated in the beautiful scenic area "de Weerribben", will be the Walhalla for the roaring one cylinder street machines.
The programme can be called special as well. Besides the usual tour rides on Saturday, there is also the possibility to visit the Basser TT. These Classis Street Motor Races take place close by the camping site

Hi Sjak
I'm Really interested in coming to the rally. I have two questions.
How much is the cost of the rally and what time on Friday can I arrive? Actually three questions, would my friend be able to come too on his four cylinder Honda?
Thanks
Smithy

Hi Smithy,
I am sure Sjak will get back to you soon. In the meantime. Last year the camping costs were reasonable with excellent facilities. There was a superb meal on the Saturday night [extra cost but worth it and optional.] Beer 1 euro per bottle. By far the largest outlay will be ferries and fuel, depending on which ferry you use. I hope you can make it, see you there.

Thanks for that Mart. I am torn between the Monoconnection and The Long Way to Go charity ride. Both will be great in different ways so as long as I get to ride my new SR400 I will be happy. If I don't see you there then maybe at another event.

Hi Smithy,
At first you and your friend are very welcome to our Meeting, never mind the 3 useless cylinders of the Honda.
Most people arrive at Friday but the Campsite is open all year. About the prices, it's about € 10 p.p.p.n, there is a special offer on their website:
2 persons, 2 nights, 1 tent + electra: € 33,- ( excl. taxes €1,40 /night)
You can make your own meals or use the restaurant; in the evening we serve our own drinks, like Martin wrote.
Last 7 years we did 1 euro /botlle, I hope we can keep up these prices but maybe it needs to be increased....
Sorry it took me some days to answer, I'm in Normandy France at the moment.
with kind regards
Sjak
Martin, thanks for your answer.

Hi Sjak, Pat & I won't be able to make it this year....we've just got home from three weeks on the road to a Guzzi Rally in Croatia. On the way back, we stayed one night at the Biker Hotel GuS at Hoxel, where we all met last year for the German SRX Connection Rally. nice place, nice people.
Regards.
Dave.

Hi Sjak
Many thanks for the reply and I too tell my friend that he has three useless cylinders. He is trying out a Honda NC750X so he is going in the right direction.
Unfortunately I won't be able to make the monoconection as I have signed up for The Long Way to Go which is a five day charity ride in aid of children's cancer care from the 3rd to the 7th September.
Please excuse me and maybe I will make it next time.

Hi Pat & Dave,
I hope you enjoyd the Moto Guzzi rally, did you have nice weather? Croatie is quite a long distance, across the terrible Alps, those ugly Dolomites or Swiss mountains, Austria .....have you experienced some flat, straight roads like we use to have?
Sorry to hear that you won't be there at Ossenzijl, hope to see you next year!
Hi Smithy,
you're doing good things, we'll wait for you to come next year too.
Kind Regards
Sjak

Thank you Sjak. I will definitely write this one into my calendar for next year as I like Holland and thumpers so it will be perfect.
