Title: FZR400 swingarm for SRX
Post by: Lawrence on March 06, 2007, 08:27:12 PM
Gents,

I have seen several FZ600 swingarm conversions for the '86 SRX.

I have also seen a few FZR400 swingarm conversions (mostly on Japanese
websites).

Wondering if anyone knows if there is anything particularly difficult
about the FZR400 swingarm ... other than welding up new shock mounts
which you would also need on the FZ600 item.

Thanks

The nose of the swingarm on an FZR is wider than the SRX item so needs to be machined back. I beleive its also longer so would increase wheelbase.

Hey lawerence,

My SRX racer has FZR400RR wheels, forks and front brakes.

Standard SRX swingarm with spacers made up.  The rear wheel fits ok, pic:

Not sure if this is any use!!

Well, it turns out I found an FZ600 swingarm which has been nicely modified to fit the SRX (hurray for eBay)!

Work was done by Barebones Racing here in the States.

I think its gonna work well.

I will post some pics when the job is done if anyone cares to see it.

Thanks for help Guys ...
