Hi All
I have recently rebuilt a set of forks, no matter what i do i get an oil weep from the pinch bolts. I have tried new copper washers on the bolts, tried gasket sealant with new washers, and the pinch bolts are really tight , but still it weeps from both sides. All the components were spotlessly clean too. Anyone else had this and what did you do to cure please?
Thanks
Dave

When you say pinch bolts do you mean the bolt which screws into the bottom of the damper rod. When you say they are really tight did you use a tool to stop the damper rod rotating ?.
Have you checked to see if the slider is cracked ? Apart from that do the forks work as expected ?
