I thought you might appreciate seeing the fuel tank that Peter Day made for me!
If I'm lucky, Mike might be firing me up for the first time tomorrow. I hope he made that wiring loom properly!

Mike, is this to make clearance for a new set of carbs ?

GUess it makes a sensible reduction incapacity whilst keeping the fuel in one pile so it does not slosh so much - nice looking job - and it would also make loads of room for carbs too.

The standard SZR tank hold the bulk of its fuel really low down just above the gearbox, and is VERY heavy when full. Looking at the piccies the internal tank seems to sit quite high up. I'm guessing that removing the rear section of the tanks gives more of a 'straight' run through the carbs to the inlet.

Hi Guys. the main reason for the alloy fuel tank is because the 39mm flat slide cabrs are so much longer the std. fuel tank would interfere with the bell mouths. Plus I wanted to fit a forced air induction air box of around 10 lt, with limited budget and limited space it was the best solution. Fuel capacity is now around 8 lt.
