Title: srx 600 switch gear

Hi out there ,  anyone no where I can get hold of the left hand indicator switch gear for a srx 600 UK spec 1986 model ,or are the srx 400 one,s the same , have heard that other bike,s have same switches maybe XJ,s or early FZ,s dose anyone no  ???????many thank,s .....nev

Hi,

I think I robbed one off an FJ once, but was disappointed to find that it had different plugs.  Not insurmountable tho.

400 ones are the same of that era.

Ebay is probably your best bet?

The choke cable attachment may limit choice. As Andy say the 400 twinshock should be the same.

Thanks MR themoudie and MR gardener , have seen the one on Ebay it,s from a1990 model mono shock and the choke is,ent the same so not sure it will fit ? or will it .  would be grateful if you do have one please let me no  . many thanks to you both ...nev

Aye nev kev,

Not sure with the 1990 onto an older handlebar. But with the choke lever beneath the unit it doesn't have to rotate around the bar as it does on the older twin shock models. My hunch, and it is a hunch, is that if the handlebar diameter is the same on both models, this would be useable. But it isn't my dosh, so if you prefer to 'hang fire' for the proper unit, will keep the eyes peeled.

Thanks to you both again , will keep looking I think ,On closer inspection looks like one on Ebay has less wires than the 600 one I need . Cheers ......nev

And to be unhelpful, the FJ one I refered to was also RH...  (Steve's comment re the choke made me realise)

Thanks andy a bit late answering I am, because wait for it I now have one !.. the local Yamaha dealer put me onto a breaker almost on my doorstep , would you believe it , don't no what its off but looks identical and fits ..... many thanks for your input   ....nev
