Will belt down on Friday but will have to come back before the festivities on Saturday as I have to work on Sunday. Booked in the bunkhouse to avoid last minute arrangements when the river rises.

Got my van back now, although driving long distances makes my knees ache. I'll definately be down there even if I have to set off days before!
Bike needs an MOT so that needs sorting, then I'm gonna fit some lowering links and lower the forks so I'll have to see how I get on with that. I just haven't got a lot of upper leg strength yet and If I fell off, I wouldn't be able to pick the bike up! :-[
I'll have to have a practice and I've got a plenty of time to sort something out. I can put some weight on my knees now so I'll definately be camping. I can walk OK upright but crawling far is a challenge and quite painful. :'(
But then there'll be plenty of big rufty tufty blokes around to pick me up! :o
Cheers Steve

It would be good to see you Steve...But don't go and do yourself any harm in the Van or on the bike.
Get yourself sorted first.

As to being "picked up" by one or more big rufty tufty bloke, I think you might want to
a. Start getting out more - or at least watch television
b. Revise you expectations to avoid painful disappointment.

OK, burst my bubble, won't you! ;)
-
I am not going anywhere near your bubble Pal! :o
-
You may not have a choice in the bunk-up house.

OK, burst my bubble, won't you! ;)
But are you offering to Blow Bubbles ? I'll bring him if you want ;)
Mind Pat will be there !
Jethro
-
Huh? ???
Am I supposed to be an alternative to bubbles or is the inference that I might get jealous??
Innuendo in the wrong hands can be a dangerous thing. ;)

That is so lame!! Putting family ahead of your mate i.e paying your round - do you want me to pick it up on the way. Pretty pathetic excuse Richard, I mean first time we met Graham he had brought his daughter...

I wish. I have just been informed that I can only have them from Saturday morning to Saturday afternoon :-(

Well, had no feedback from this weekend, something seriously embarressing to everyone must have happened.
Cold weekend, it was frozen solid where I was camping.
-
Well we had a Cold and dry weekend ! :P
Very heavy frost Friday night.
Little quieter than some previous get togethers.
Simon impressed and provided hours of fun with his new Tippi and Wood burner.
And some of us weren't very well Friday night Saturday morning ;-)

Some of us had to go home on Sat AM. Thanks Steve for bringing the parts down - much appreciated. Thanks to Jules for yet another brilliant evening meal, and to all the usual suspects for the comradeship. I was fine in the AM but went rancid in the evening

I could only make the Saturday as Friday was my sons birthday, and I spent the day on a very enjoyable hike with SteveH. Saturday night was a very gentle affair which saw Rick force 2 pints of stout down my neck! The first left me feeling light headed and I had to have a pint of squash after the second just to get to the tent. This 'No drinking' malarky has made me a serious light weight in more ways than one. ;)
Clear skies meant a beautiful view of the Milky Way and a nip in the air. You just don't get to see stars like that in towns and I couldn't take my eyes of it. Stunning.
Sunday morning was met gently as I had managed to get a mild hangover from 2 pints and it was gone 11 before I broke camp. Headed for home via Hay, Monmouth & Chepstow on the lanes and back roads. Lervly.
Nice little chill out prior to the Christmas mayhem.
Cheers

And he'll be opening the door for his third chocolate of the calendar today. >:(

IT'S NOT CHRISTMAS - IT IS ADVENT - GET IT RIGHT!!
Huh?? What's not Christmas???
The mayhem in question will be wholly created from the event traditionally held on the 25th of December, surely it's a fair enough statement to lay the blame for said mayhem at the events door.
I recognise the time period of Advent, but as this part of the December festivities only requires me to open little cardboard windows and consume chocolate I don't feel it fair to blame it for the mayhem generated by the event traditionally occurring on the 25th.
Strewth!

Roll on the new year, let's get this sh1tty few weeks out of the way. ::)
