Title: Llanthony weekend
Post by: guest1362 on April 10, 2013, 12:32:09 PM
Hi Guys,

Tre and I have booked at Treats for the weekend of 24th 25th May. We will be walking some of the time but will be enjoying the evenings at the Priory Bar as usual.

So if any of you would like to join us for the weekend it would be great to see you.

Kind regards,

Colin & Tre.

You're right Colin, it's been too long  ;)

What is this Treats of which you talk? I haven't been to Llanthony for ages now, I always camped in the main field

Hi Graham,

when you arrive at Llanthony instead of turning right off the road and travelling up to The Priory.
Turn Left and keep left and travel towards a 5 bar gate.
You will pass a Burger van parked up on your right which is called Treats. The woman that runs it is called Sue.
You may need to book some camping:Ring Sue Smith at Treats Catering. 01873 890867.

Best regards,

Colin. ;)

Thanks for that Colin, I'll firm up the date with the family and, if the dates are ok, I'll book a pitch.

Cheers

Many thanks for standing up for me Mr C :o

In the context of this unravelling 'conversation' is "Mr C" a pet name for your gut wrench or do you actually mean Colin? Do tell!

Adios

Did Mr C rise to the occasion easily ?

Well.....I was hoping to go this weekend.
But it looks as if I will be Parent sitting once more.
The Old Fella has had over a fortnight in Hospital and still no signs of him coming out.....so to speak !

Its no good....will have to trade the folks in for younger models....hopefully less likely to break down !

What a great meet-up that was!  Thanks to Rick, SteveD, Colin and Theresa for a really lovely time. We enjoyed brilliant sunshine, good food, wet beer and sterling banter  :D

Is there anything much better in the world than riding a big single on that road from Llanthony to the Skirrid Inn? I don't think so  ;)
