Hi gang, is there going to be a XT meeting at Baskerville Hall this year? Have been looking to see if a thread got started but nothing yet?

38 views and no replies? :( Does anyone have contact details for XTWILL? I have tried to send him a PM via this site but comes back with error message.

I saw an XT owner the other day who said that he was going to the rally so I'm guessing it's on

I think I'll pop over again. Hoping for no overnight frost this year. The old bones can't take it ;)
-
I've booked for this. Is anyone else on here going? Mark? Ifor?
-
Yeah I should be good for this, probably Ifor also.
-
I'm going to try and make it

Hi boys,
Sorry been away from the forum for a while, I have been busy setting up my new bike shop, it opened its doors on Jan 12th, so far very pleased the way it's going, but I did put a lot of planning in to it before taking the plunge.
The small capacity 50-125 market is booming and I also stock about a dozen or so clean low mileage 600+cc bikes. Having worked in bike sales for Garlands I had a good insight what sold well and try to always have the right bikes.
Anyway.
HOW 5 is just over a few days away this Fri 17- Sun 19 May. Similar theme to last year except for something a little special for the Sat night in the way of food.
Entry to the rally is this year £30. Camping will be again payable directly to the Baskerville Hall.
All profits made are turned back into getting more camp gear, this year we have invested over 400 in a new stronger marquee.
I hope to see some usual faces from the thumper club.
A strong contingent from the Belgium boys about a dozen, 4 from Germany and a couple from Eire, so a decent showing from the oversees thumpers.
Pleas post here if you are coming
Regards
Will

Another cracking weekend Will, well done on organising the weather.
Where was everyone, only me, Ifor and Trev from the Thumper Club.

Another great weekend with the XT500 boys and girls.
Weather was kinder - no frost on the tent this year. ;D
-
The bike was all packed on Saturday morning and I was in my leathers... then we checked the bank account and I had to put everything away again :(
This being poor thing is a bit tiresome at times.

This was in my diary, but then a bill for £600 for a service and brakes, suspension parts etc before the MOT. Looked all good except for the leak from the diesel pump, so a further £800, then £50 for the MOT and YES I am also broke. Needed to work ................and £30 for a ticket? :o
Just done the XT660 meet in the Lakes @ 20 Teneres turned up, Marquee and charcoal burners, free tea and coffee all weekend, donations only, no entry fee and we made @ £150 for air ambulance! ;D
I will however hope to make Llanthony next weekend. ;D

£30 entry fee - included tea and coffee all weekend, all food on Saturday including hog roast in the evening, Sunday breakfast, marquee, wood burners and loads of XTs.
Apparently last year's takings allowed them to buy a better marquee for this year.

Plus the entertainment of some dizzy tart skipping around all weekend.

I missed that :(

Oh yes. HyperRachel. ;D

For the record, I had no problem with the entrance fee, I just couldn't afford the petrol to get there and the beer in the evening.
