Title: Exhaust fabricaters
Post by: guest1406 on April 08, 2013, 11:05:29 PM
Hi all,

Looking for a complete exhaust maker. I did try but I wasn't very good, too much cutting, welding, grinding, etc. Looking for someone around the London/Essex area.

Thanks

Mackenzie

Ahh that's a bit too far for me. I think the fab work would need to see the bike as the headers come out at an awkward angle.

Just been quoted £600 for the headers and a joint to be made!!!! That's mental!!

Yes Mack £600 just for the headers sounds like a cure for constipation to me. I'd imagine no matter where you'd find to do the job that they'd want the bike on their premises to be sure of getting it 'right'. Best of luck with your search.

Cambell's are in Orpington, not used them myself, but they've been around for donkeys, so they must be doing something right.

How about Norfolk?.... Nick Parravanni Competition Fabrications, He's done several for me.... using standard headers and fabricating a Y piece and silencer... or complete system.... there are pics on here of my #1 bike.... which has a complete system.... give 'em a call probably get a ball park figure over the phone.... but you will need to leave the bike with them..... unless you want one the same as mine... then i'd be happy to return my system to them to use as a copy (got a spare system)
cheers

I used to have my XBR exhausts made by a guy called Tony Cook in Lee (sp?) SE London, he used to trade as AC Exhausts, that was a few years back but worth a Google.

Left my bike at Hayward & Scott today in the end, they quoted me a fair price. Ive seen them do some pretty good work, including my mated Knuckle

Aye Old Timer,

The link was naff, due to the 'Rude' word at the beginning of the by-name for someone born within the sound of Bow Bells!  ::)

So re-type the link Mackenzie gives, without the spaces between the first three letters! I hope that sorts things out for you all.

Cheers Bill!

Yeh it wouldnt let me type in a certain name for a East londoner!

For a brand new header with a sharp high level bend and joint it came to £250. A far cry from what the Romford guys quoted me (£650)!!

Since then ive fnished it off myself.

Its not being powder coated as we speak then off to the infamous wireing expert Steve Hallam.

Modified logbook was sent off last week so all should be legit soon too
