Title: K+N Air Filter on an XBR
Post by: J.Y.Kelly on February 13, 2013, 12:48:27 PM
What carb adjustments, if any, are needed if a K+N air filter is fitted insread of the standard contraption?

Rejetting, usually. Preferably done by a professional establishment having the necessary equipment. The bike will, of course, lose performance, but if you want "the look" that badly, go for it.

K & N filters used on standard bikes have by-and-large done little except mess-up the carburation which will give the opposite of what you're looking for. modified engines using a rolling road to analyze fueling are a different matter
