Title: 19th Carole Nash Classic Motorcycle Show Stafford 20th-21st October
Post by: Silverfox on June 24, 2012, 04:03:15 PM
I have been contacted by Mortons Media group to see whether the Thumperclub will be attending this years show in October.

They have allocated us a 15x10 pitch on the balcony in the main hall.(I will need to confirm the exact location) so would anyone be interested in showing there bike? I am guessing we could squeeze 6-7 bikes on the stand. I will take my CB so we are looking for another 5-6.

Usual rules apply , free camping and entry for the show all weekend for those who display a bike.

I don't envisage it being a themed stand unless someone else would want to take that task on, just the display boards and posters would be my contribution.

They need to confirm machines by the end of July so there is no desperate rush, but it would be good to get the details published in the show guide for a change so sooner rather than later would be good.

Cheers
Silverfox

Gareth can you let me know which way you want to go as I have applied for private entry (heard nothing yet as is normal) and dont really want the same debacle as last year.

Ian,

Certainly one of your bikes would be great. Due to the size of the stand we are a little restricted on numbers, so it might be worth seeing what response we get from everyone else. I will let you know in due course.

Could you pm me the details of the bike reg number etc, and any interesting points!!!! I will arrange for the details to be in the show guide.

Will you be camping for the weekend? As you will be showing your bike you will receive a weekend camping pass and admission for 2 to the show.

Great, no probs, looking forward to this.  I wil knock up a thing with some details on it for the curious.  I will also get off my bum and dig out the factory panniers that I have somewhere, they came from a shop in Venezuela apparently, via ebay of course.

I assume arrive friday night leave sunday night.  Is that correct?

It's not like you to take the direct route, I thought you might approach Stafford from Derby. ;D

Mic,
I trust you made it home safe and sound.

Thanks for putting the effort in to show your bike on the stand, it certainly got a lot of interest. Still cant beleive that guy paid 5k for  a bike to display in his pub!!!!

Will let you know of any forthcoming events.

Cheers
