its MOT time for the enfield and i need to put the indicators back on.
i'd like to fit some small indicators but no one makes them in 6v, and 6v bulbs don't come small enough to fit into 12v indicators.
does anyone know of a way of running 12volt bulbs on a 6 volt system?
thanks

I think you may not need em on a pre-1986 bike....

its 1992 k-reg.
there is a clause in the MOT stating that bikes primarily for use off-road don't have to have indicators.
i use my enfield off-road all the time but its hard finding a tester who will acknowledge this. somehow supermoto's with 17" wheels and sports bike tyres count as primarily for off-road, even though they are clearly used solely on road.

Try M&P.....
I bought some brushed alloy indicators that take 12v scc18mm bulbs.
M&P can supply scc18mm bulbs in 6v 5w / 8w / 10w / 15w flavours ...
Indicators are rubbish ,bed bulb holder on silicon sealant or the vibration will tear the mounting bracket ......
They can probably supply 6v bulbs for most of their indicators .
You only need to find out what type of bulb is in them..
hope this helps ...........

problem solved.
a company called 'vehicle wiring products' lists mini indicators with 6 volt bulbs available for them. also seem to have all the little electrical connectors and gubbins you could ever need.
the last thing i wanted to do was to fork out £30 on indicators and then not find 6v bulbs to fit.
