I have had a SRX6 project bike for a while, I intended to restore it and I've sourced a few missing parts from ebay, as you do, but I've also made zero progress, as you do, (unless of course your name is Ian).
My bike is about 99% complete and I've almost sold it a few times but something keeps holding me back............ ::)
Anyway..... enough blathering! has anyone fitted a set of wire spoked wheels to the SRX6? If so, then what hubs did you use? Ideally, I would like to use the original twin discs on the front and single disc on the rear, so what is needed, what mods were required and how do I go about doing it? I want to keep standard forks and twins shock swingarm and the wheels will remain 18" too.

It can be done using the original brakes.

But the brake calipers get quite close to the spokes.

The pictures are from a german bike seen at the monoconnection rally. The front looks to me like an XS650 hub with adaptors made up for the brake discs.
I dont know what the rear is but I beleive XT600 hubs have been used.

I took a different approach with a single 320mm disc on the front

It's given me a good starting point for a bit of homework and investigation...... ;)

Unusual swinging arm too!
