So, I just read from the Shop manual page 19-8 how to inspect rear brakelight switch for continuity, however, I couldn't find any switch from the rear brake pedal / peg -assebly? Am I missing something here, or am I just missing a switch? If anyone can take a pic of the rear brakelight switch, it'd be greatly appreciated.

The switch is housed on the side of the battery holder (under the right hand side panel). There should be a thin metal wire from the switch to the little tag on the back of the brake pedal (behind the hanger).

I don't know whether your rear brake is hydraulic.....but if it is, have you considered a hydraulic switch...
I always fit then on any bike i'm upgrading....so much more reliable, no poncing about with springs and wire and switches etc

I'm afraid it's a manual drum brake.. I think I'll manage placing a small microswitch somewhere near the pedal so I won't haveto play with the thin lever method.
