I have to replace the fork seals on my ER5, anyone here done them?
I'm guessing it's in the order of:
remove fork
compress fork (upside down) and undo damper bolt
remove fork cap and remove spring and damper
remove dust seal and circlip
pull fork apart violently to remove slider from stanchion (taking seal with it)
Sound about right? I haven't replaced a seal in years.

Not 'done' an ER5 but based on exoerience of doing it on a GPZ500 it sounds about right !.

I have an immaculate Haynes manual for the Kawasaki EX500(GPZ500s) and the ER500(ER5) if you want it for a tenner inc post? *
Its virtually identical doing the seals as on the SRX. ( Although Kawasaki tools 57001-183 and 57001-1057 required....failing that use a nut welded to a piece of all thread to stop the damper rod turning!!)

*Alternatively I can scan the pages you want and email them?

I can't keep the bike (my brother paid for it so I could do the Dragon and it has to be sold asap) so I would appreciate the scans and email. If I was keeping the bike I would snap your hand off for the manual.
Many thanks
