Spent the day burning rubbish from the workshop. Servicing the tin boxes, oil, filters, water etc. Completed the re-wire of part of Sally's loom. Put Mini the Morini up in the air and started to remove the fluids, prior to a service and light overhaul where required. Try and get at least one Italian stallion (colt), filly up and running. Kat looked at the righthand change and felt queazy, but still wants a shotty!

My dear wife spent the day sorting the 'grounds', then came and assisted in the workshop with Mini the Morini.

Domesticity! Cooked supper tonight, pasta with garlicy tomato sauce made by my fair hands. Followed by a bowl of that Dorset cereal with "No dust init"! Very tasty with Copella apple juice or a juice mixture variety.

Sleep well all, Bill and Kat.

Very domestic weekend here too.

Dave Keeling travelled down from Cheshire on Saturday morning to pick up his trophy (rider of the year). Had a good chinwag before he togged up and braved the rain for the return leg.

Did some work on the house before Wifey set off for her evening job and left me with the terrors.

Sunday spent working in the morning and then lunch at my brother's house. Sunday evening spent with the terrors again, but managed to get them off before 'Kill Bill' started. What a great movie.

Cheers
GC

Friday night saw me change the head bearings on Dolly. Old ones were very very badly notched and this morning I couldn't steer for toffee as I was over working things going into corners. I suspect I'll get used to my new easy-to-operate steering in a few more miles.
Saturday I had to bleed the front brake as it sucked a little air during Fridays job. That done, I set too with building my pannier rack for the back end. Disaster struck when I ran out of gas for my tourch and work was suspended till Sunday when Wifey demanded she be taken to the pub.
The heavy night of Saturday led to an 11:30 wake up on Sunday (ooh me wee heed) but it was back to the shed to finish off the rack (bolted together for now, will get welded later) and re-build Dolly ready for Monday. Watched some footy in the middle of all that, and finished off with a couple of whiskeys and a chapter or two of 'High Adventures' by Edmund Hillary, then to bed.
Good weekend all round I'd say, apart from Villa losing 2-1 :-(

I've no idea where the weekend went, but there was no serious bike activity. Not surprising given we've two new cats that need keeping in and had to go to the vets (does using leather gauntlets to control an angry Tom count as bike stuff?) and some serious tidying and fixing required after the blowout at Christmas/New Year. The post office stuffed up my attempts to change the oil in the Bonneville and i'm in Germany until Thursday, so i'll be on serious bike withdrawl by then. On the up side, Elefant preparations are well in hand.
