Title: Valve cleaning
Post by: SRXer on July 05, 2010, 10:52:44 AM
Hello,

Im trying to clean up the valves on my crusader. There is a small amount of crust attached to one.

Some of it was flakey and sort of chipped off. but I dont know if there is an approved method of getting it all off.

Just your usual cleaners and elbow grease?
Leave it to soak?
Grind it off with a dremel?

Put the valve stem in an electric drill, spin up and use a wire brush or if the carbons stubborn a file.

Or abrasive paper.
