Hi everybody, new member here,
I have recently acquired an 1986, XT 350, Anybody know the correct procedure for starting from cold. Also when warmed up the throttle hangs on at about 2000 revs when I come to a halt, it will drop back if I just blip it a couple of times, I have checked the shut off cable, and the primary carb piston is not sticking open.

HI
I'd suggest you thoroughly check the state of the intake rubbers - they often persish and make starting hard and give a weak mixture which could explain both problems .
Best of luck !

Thanks for that Bojer,
intake rubbers look Ok, but while I was down there noticed that the throttle spindle nut was only finger tight so got a 12mm spanner on it and hay presto now I have got a proper throttle !!!!!!!!!!!
