Turns out I was wearing the same jacket:

Only difference was Jane and Richard made it that time :-)

And to think he casts aspersions on *my* sartorial elegance :-0
;-))

OO look, there's Jane's Ducati, and you can just see the headlamp of the modified 1200 Sportster I had then. And of course my (then your) GB500 - was that after the first time I sold it to you, or the second? ;-)
-
How do I insert a picture? Does it have to be hosted elsewhere and I link to it?

Yep, that's what I did.

Er... second I think, not sure.
Great little bike, belted all the way to Hardraw flat out and drank FA petrol and oil. I remember the lack of luggage was down to the fact that I just had a basha that I pegged out between the bike and the ground and put a small sleeping bag down.
I had a bag strapped to the seat and my neat leather throwovers. The throwovers had been fitted to a Virago that had been part-ex'd into Jethro's shop. They decided the bags were a bit scruffy and I ended up with them for gratis. I think the week before the Hardraw run I took the GB to the SRX meet in Holland with the same amount of kit - can't imagine it now :-)
I really should put an XBR solo back together for some of these rides, the sidecar is great, but it's not everything.

Well that didn't work. I uploaded a pic to this site and tried to link to it, but the link must be wrong. How do I discover the correct URL for a picture in the current gallery?

I had to look at source code to cobble that together though, must be an easier way

- Browse to the picture you want to show.
- Copy the URL in the navigation bar (e.g. http://bla.de.bla)
- Come back to the forum
- Click on reply
- Second line down in the 'Post Reply' Box is called Insert
- Select the picture this will create two IMG tags, paste the URL previous copied between the start and end IMG tags
- Type the rest of your message
You will find similiar intsructions for inserting links here http://www.thumperclub.com/smf/index.php?topic=29.0

I'll try that then:

Doesn't work :-(

Like that but don't use the url from the address bar, right click on the pic select properties and use the address on that ;)

And I thought the internet was easy to use ;-)

However, how do I get a decent size picture into a post? That picture was 800 high when I uploaded it....
-
Thats why I ask for the original. Occasionally the re-sizing throws a wobbly but I dont know why, I was planning to experiment with the piccie you sent
