Title: SRX400 on ebay query

Why is there a crescent shape gap between tank and frame on this 400, is it the wrong tank? or other reason/mod?

At one point he was also selling an engine which he said was fitted with 'huge' dellortos, my guess is the tank was cut-away to clear them. They also rust in this area so that could be the reason as well.
