Good afternoon to you All,
Right hand handlebar on the MZ has always looked to be set at a different angle from the left. Knowing that these bars are adjustable, I assumed ::) that a little adjustment was all that was required!
Kat went out on the Boy Bros, so decided to investigate. ??? This is what I found. >:(

Filler/Plastic padding!!!

More filler!!!
May I ask does anybody have a spare casting for sale or would you recommend an alternative set of bars to give an SRXish/Bros type position? [No Andy, not a race crouch!! ;D ]
Thank you for taking the time to read this and any positive help you might offer.
Bill and Kat.

Oh well, at least you're now well-armed and ready for the next 'worst bodge' thread that appears here.

Plain frightening, GC.
Past MoT wheeze, I think.
All the best with the 'merging' project.
My regards, Bill.

Ive been looking for some bars to fit 41mm forks to put on my SV. FJ1200 bars are the right diameter and have a reasonable lift. They look heavy though
-
i'm fairly certain the forks on my cbr are 41mm, the same as firestorm and blackbird. firestorm clip ons have a 2" rise to them and are available from breakers quite cheap.
bullet350.

Thank you for the info. Blackbird and some Firestorm are 43mm.
What is the ID of SZR660 bars, please?
My regards, Bill.

Bill, this might help sizing wise.

I fitted GSXR750WN bars to my SZR660, they are USD forks so the clipons are quite large, 50mm I think.

Hiya Bill,
Sorry for the slooooww reply!
Right, my Skorp suffered the same. I got a new clamp from BSA-Regal (no longer doing MZ imports tho...)
Try Grahams motorcycles in devon.

I initially turned my bars upside down to give the riding position to which you refer! Then I replaced bars with 41mm clip ons. Cant quite remember what from... TZR 250 I think. In fact almost certain. KR1S also has 41mm clip ons. Both are available cheap on Ebay, but you probably want something higher, eh??
Tho (thinking of it) I throw nothing away (Andrew Squirrel!!). SO I will probably have this clamp ring. Would rather keep it, but for no real reason other than if I dump it, and break a bar, I can change it that evening and still get to work next day!
However, a friend in need and all that. Do you want it? No charge, as I still have your flywheel puller, and may well use it in the next coupla weeks...!!
Cheers for now big man

Aye SteveH,
Thank you for the info and the URL. Yes, sadly to big, 50mm is the ID. Pair going for £0-99 on Fleabay if anybody needs a pair.
Aye Andy230,
Thank you as well for the info and the URL to Graham's. I have taken the part number and will give them a ring in the morning to see what the craic is! As for mooching your spare part, nah! No bar, no bread, is your situation, this is still in the looky looky, see what's hiding stage! ;)
As for the puller! I know where it is and not likely to forget, if I need it, I'll drop you a line and then maybe a public hint :o on here and you know how eggy this lot can get. ;D
Toodle pip and have a good season, if you can find the time and dosh.
Bill.

Oh dont you worry! I have been saving pennies, and kissing ar*e such that I can.
If you can't get that clamp let me know. No point having your bike off the road, and me with unused spares.
cheers mate
