Title: Kids trip
Post by: guest7 on February 25, 2009, 09:20:28 AM
Anyone fancy a bring-your-child weekend this Easter? I thought of camping for a night or two at Rhayader - good facilities, an adventure playground, easy access to the Elan Valley and, ahem, some pubs.

It's about time I started bringing young Dylan along to some camping weekends.

Sounds great to me, only problem is which one?? ??? Is it considered good parenting if you accept bribes from your children??

Sounds good to me .

Be mindful that the last time we stayed in Rhayader the noise from passing lorries at night was constant , but the facilities are fine and child friendly .

Another site option is at Cwmdu, near Crickhowell. It has limited play facilities, but it's a nice quiet site, there's plenty of walking routes around it and there is a café within walking distance (and a pub).

In retrospect it might be a better option than Rhayader, which can be busy and (as Rob pointed out) is next to a major arterial route.
