I have had two very tempting offers for places to stay on the Friday, but my brother and I have decided to stay at the bunkhouse at Petes eats (http://www.petes-eats.co.uk/static/bunkhouse.asp) in Llanberis again, we like it lots (and it's cheap). That's as long as they are not full, I've only just sent off my booking request.

.............cheap and full!. Have been in touch with Eric's place at Tremadog. Away fro a few days will be back on line mid week or weekend unless I can get to a 'puter. Will book Erics if enough interest. (£5 per head!)

Just had a s**t load of gear stolen from the Transit. Cannot afford to send a cheque for £50 to secure accommodation for the bunkhouse for the Friday. Will try to get in touch with them again and arrange something. Terry wants to come up and of course me as well. Not as good as Petes' and more basic, pubs further away but its only £5 per head. Back away to Hull tomorrow.

PISSER! Sorry to hear that mate, I'd be gutted if my tools got nicked... although mine are generally worth way less than yours ::)
Funnily enough I was reading an article in a builder's magazine yesterday saying how few tradesman insure their tools andf I thought "the reason is that they make it so effing hard to claim and then they raise your premium next year". There's no easy way around it.

I know it's after the event, but is smart water worth a try? Either on the tools and or as a spray in the van when left un attended.

I am now in a position to send a cheque for the £50 to cover the deposit for Eric Jones' place at Tremadog for the Friday night before the Dragon Rally. The room sleeps 12 at £5 per person. I will be mentioning to some of the XT crowd that this is available. I think that Terry will be attending, anyone else? :D

Well this attempt has been a resounding sucess. I will cancel and arrange something else for the XT crowd, myself and Terry.
Sorry cannot afford to throw away £50 at this moment.

Sorry Steve, I think it was a question posted at the wrong time, I'm guesing most everyone has been running around trying to get themselves sorted for chrimbo.
I only managed to talk to my brother about it last night.
