There I was in the pouring rain on the stag do and the Bonneville developed it's ***ing misfire again >:(
WD40 everything electrical and it's good for the 100 miles home. Once in the dry I greased and tightened and cleaned and it'll be good until some downpour next winter. However, aiming for a long term cure I borrowed a nice sealed chinese made coil off a lad at work (Kawasaki twin) with the aim of moving it under the seat where the battery used to be. This coil while it idles just fine gets a missfire at higher revs :-\
So, it looks like it's back to trying to seal the Triumph coil ???
The question then is how to tell a sealed coil that will work (right resistance?) from one that won't ???
Good news is I picked up a spare Triumph one off e-bay, so if it is the coil rather than the wiring that's the pain in the **** i'll find it/cure it in one go :)
