hi i8,m going to put a set of kawasaki gpx 250 carbs onto my srx 6. is anyone else running these carbs & what size of needles and jets do you use
:D :D :D

Erm.....why?.....the gpx250 is a 38bhp engine (or thereabouts) the carbs are probably way out in terms of ability to breath the srx6, when you consider each carb on the gpx is fuelling a 125cc cylinder.....no match for a bluddy great 600 pot!
you'd be better looking for a pair of 34mm or 36mm mikuni/dellorto/amal carbs .. or get a dynojet kit for the standard YPVS carbs, at £70ish a bit pricey for what you get, but considerably less than the cost of replacements (and all the associated work/modifications). and does apparently achieve reasonable results.

This is quite a common conversion in the States, and is supposed to work quite well. You will probabaly get more info from ThumperPage forum www.thumperpage.com

I got a 600 a couple of years ago with a set of gpx carbs on, dunno about jet sizes but it fouled up spark plugs and chucked out black smoke when reved at a stand still, but strangly not when hammered down the local twisties. To be honest i'd stick with the original carbs, much less hastle and you always know where you stand with the standard set up.
