Title: Enfield Bullet ? 350cc £2000 on the road new
Post by: J Hop on September 06, 2006, 07:44:54 PM
I work with a bloke who has got a newish 500 enfield, he went down the local enfield dealer at the weekend and said they are selling off all the new 350's for £2000 on the road as they can no longer pass future exhaust emission tests for new vehicles, said they wont be importing any more.

I like the style of the NEW enfields, but the finish is suspect IMO.

Yes they are doing away with the old model now known as the Classic.
That is old style kick start, iron barrel,4 speed box and right foot change.
'cause of emmissions and people seem unable to cope with right foot change and only a 4 speed box.

But the finnish is 10 times better than it used to be !

Once a standard 500cc Bullet has been bored & stroked to 612cc, with needle-roller big-end, forged con-rod, high-comp forged piston, uprated cams, alloy barrel, 5-speed gearbox (keeping the right-hand up-for-down gearchange of course) electronic ignition, uprated brakes, uprated suspension, a GT cafe-racer kit, handlebar fairing, uprated electrics, etc, etc......then it'll be just like mine!!
