Title: indicator flasher unit (SRX)
Post by: Steve Lake on July 16, 2007, 10:53:40 AM
just a little bit of info that might save you a few bob
The flasher unit on the SRX 6/4 is a bit on the pricey side for a genuine yamaha replacement...you can use a standard Halfords unit (2 x 21w + 3w) halfords part number is 202, cost about a fiver, used it on all of my srx's and works fine

Thanks for the tip. my brothers srx, on the iom, unit has packed up. Funnily enough his unit has 3 leads and mine only two. but mine did work in the his bike. No idea what the extra wire was for, mine is a jap import his is a uk model.

Yes indeed beeman, i should have mentioned that. The Halfords unit only has 2 spade terminals, but does work on either a 2 or 3 wire cable, it is plug compatable with either.
cheers
