Title: Interesting GB500 article
Post by: iansoady on December 30, 2022, 10:08:24 AM
Here: https://motorcyclestudies.org/volume-13-2017/a-curious-case-of-anglo-japanese-collaboration-how-the-worlds-most-successful-motorcycle-maker-borrowed-design-ideas-from-a-small-venerable-and-extinct-british-bike-factory-james-j-ward/

Found elsewhere. An academic artcile but interesting. I have to confess I haven't worked my way through it yet.....

That site has some other interesting stuff which I'll explore when the filling / sanding cycle palls. For example: https://motorcyclestudies.org/volume-17-2021/chrome-and-black-and-dusty-robert-pirsigs-motorcycle-heritage-paul-f-johnston/

I know not everyone is a fan of Zen and.... but I am.

A rich seam of reading, thank you.  It appears to be much better written than most UK motorcycle journalism too - a low bar admittedly.

Yes, top quality journalism and a very interestng read. I've long been a fan of Peter Egan who is quoted in the article too.

Thanks for posting this stuff which I don't recall seeing before, and IJMC, new to me too.
Always happy to read something interesting.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
