Afternoon Mr Spooky, looks like a neat little ride. Not to keen on the rectangular headlight but hey it’s not my bike. Hope you have many happy S miles on it👍
Cheers, Michael

Your right, headlight spoils the whole look, but a replacement should be available soon...

Look forward to seeing the new look CG once the headlight has been changed 👍

Really excellent Thumpettes. Got one going for son No 2 over a year ago and it did well - dirt cheap parts though some plastic cycle parts are getting difficult to source. My wife now has a Chinese CG clone which is giving great service.
Frequent oil changes, check the buried centrifugal filter, and the things are near immortal with tons of character.
Only thing that ever annoyed me was trying to adjust the points through a magnetised flywheel, if you can source one none magnetic screwdriver would be a boon.
So simple, and simple to customise to taste.

This cg is a bit of Turkish Delight, as such it has cdi and e/start as well. It`s a 2001 so has 5 gears to (boot)

Hi Rufus
I really like that, reminds me of a Tiger Cub trials bike. Very rideable I should think. I must admit I am in the change the headlight group, but everything else looks really nice.

Great bikes and a cool, look. I used to ride one to work. Never a problem, just 1000 mile oil changes and filter wash.
I own a 2007 model now, that I use for this, that, the other and some small lanes.
I did install an Iridium spark plug, that seems to have sharpened matters up too.
Great to roll out the garage, and jump on without fuss and simply ride.
Enjoy.

That's a smart looking article. Health to enjoy. Just the tool to blat down the lanes and country roads for a brew and traybake at the tearoom beside Sweetheart Abbey.

Well , the only thing i have done to the cg is ride it..headlight is still to be changed when i find a suitable one and i put new `trials` tyres on, running nicely now ,

Hi Rufus
That looks like a lovely place to go exploring on a lightweight, agile motorcycle. Me and a mate of mine were chatting the other day about how we find more pleasure in riding smaller bikes than the behemoths that some people seem to think are a must have.
I think any bike is improved by fitting trials type tyres personally and hope that headlight turns round soon.
Keep up the good work in bonny Scotland.

Looks great, but like the other Ian prefer a round headlight.....
