Interesting article and only states the banning of non-zero emission motors. Now we all know the great con of electric cars being zero emission when in fact they are deferred emission and doom sayers like that shite-monger Stuart Fillingham on Youtube love this kind of thing. Just how any country will be able to generate enough clean electricity in time for a 2035 ban to power enough cars or bikes to keep our current transport patterns eludes me.
So there are two scenarios that I think may make sense. A) our current use of personal transport and the way we use it will have to alter radically or B) the development of clean, alternatives to fossil fuels to burn in the good old ICE. Obviously long-term, i.e. 50 to 100 years there will be great strides in battery tech and electricity generation which might make all-electric possible, but for now hybrids make more sense and clean fuel seems likely.
Or maybe I'm just insane.

I suggest that in 50 - 100 years we will have far worse problems than keeping bikes on the road. Fortunately I won't be around to see it.

Yes.. think I’d pretty much agree with you on that one Ian. However ya never know, everyone might be living in some sort of technological utopia by then 😉🤷???

Absolutely right Ian. If the world's population carries on growing, I can see wars being fought over food and water supplies within the next 50 years. I feel sorry for my grandkids and what they may have to live through.
