The YB100 I was given last year for helping the owner out with his GB400 is almost finished and is a runner :) there are some photos of the build and a video of it running at the end.....

Good to see her run. A keeper or a sale to keep the electric on in the front room?😁
-
Thanks Moto63 Just waiting for some spare pennies to get some new rubber it also needs a chain but otherwise done
mthee we want to keep it Suzanne wants it to ride on although I may have to sell it to keep the XBR in fuel :)

How about doing it up as a Fizzie on steroids? ;D

Now that sounds like a cool idea Pete 🤘😉

That is a job well done. I am getting more and more interested in smaller, older jap bikes as just about everything else is out of my price range. Also with roads speeds getting lower and fuel getting pricier there's a lot of adventure to be had on a tiddler.
Lovely to see this Yamaha resurrected.

Crazyfrog and Moto63 although fizzies go for serious money the YB100 is getting rarer as most YB100 engines ended up in souped up fizzies
Itsme you are probably right the YB100 is good for 80+Mpg and 55Mph is plenty fast enough for most B and C roads, it would do quite nicely around this area

nice lob you did on that yb100 joolz there great litte bikes those yb,s i had a 80 and a 100 back in the day ,a basket case yb 80 came up for sale here a while ago ,but the seller wanted stupid money for it ,tommy

Yeah, really good little bikes. I've never had a YB, but I ran a similar RXS100 for a couple of years, about 10 years ago. It was brilliant - just like being 18 again, and surprised me how quick it was for a 100.

Its almost finished :)

Looks really good! 👍
-
Thank you, its now had its first test ride around the garden, I will get a MOT sometime in the spring

I'm sure it'll be a fun thing to zing around on! 👍

Lovely burble! Nothing beats a video - thanks for sharing.

Sounds & looks great.
-
Thank you :) its been an interesting project, fun and far cheaper than most of my builds

I've found that lightweights cost nearly as much to restore as bigger bikes but don't fetch as much when you come to flog 'em......
-
Its cost me around £200 but the paint and nuts and bolts were old stock from my shed
