Title: enfields; 350 to 500?

someone told me that the 350 cannot be converted to a 500 by swapping barrel piston and head?
something to do with the stud pattern being wider. is this true?

Yes !   And the size of the crankcase mouth.
Tollgate Classics does a 350 to 450 conversion.And I understand it is very good.
