I Have fitted my xt 600e with a stainless Exhaust system its a Laser Pro Duro Road legal system, but the bike seems to be running rich. Is it simply a case of weakening the mixture via the air screw or does it get a bit more in depth???

Have you done a plug chop to see whether it's actually running rich?
When I had my Quill fitted, I also put in a K&N filter element to replace the standard one to get more air through - there's only so much you can do with the mixture screw. Can you buy a K&N for you bike that will fit in the standard airbox, and is there a dynojet kit available to make the most of your new can?

Hey mate, K&N filter for XT600E available on ebay - not cheap but if your standard one is getting knackered it's probably worth it.

If you have fitted a more open exhaust it should be running weaker. You need to be certian of a few things. Does it go better when cold If the answer is yes it may be rich. As stated you can alter a little by fitting a more open filter and even altering the airbox to let in more air. In the end you may have to alter the main jet. The main jet is the place to start as it will affect the other settings
