As a cyclist I welcome the review, as a motorcyclist I'm disgusted by the lack of motorcyclist specific stuff in the review. If you die of Covid 19, it's a national disaster, if you die riding a motorcycle because some prick pulled out in front of you without looking, tough...

Actually, when I read the consultation document, there are lots of mentions of motorcyclists, particularly referring to them (along with cyclists, peds etc) as "vulnerable". For example: "introduce safe passing distances and speed limits when overtaking pedestrians, cyclists, horse riders, horse drawn vehicles and motorcyclists"
I'm not sure what exactly you would want to see which would be specific to bikes?
I found this which has some salutary reading (slightly out of date): https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/447673/motorcyclist-casualties-2013-data.pdf.
The table on page 8 is particularly interesting, showing as it does that factors under the control of the rider such as excess speed and loss of control were contributory in a total of 53% of collisions. I do fully accept that car drivers and others (including motorcyclists) are often guilty of failure to look properly or to act on what they see (or should see). However, we've got to take responsibility for our own safety.
Lastly, this is a consultation process so if we're unhappy with the proposals we need to comment. Responses are requested here: https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/review-of-the-highway-code-to-improve-road-safety-for-cyclists-pedestrians-and-horse-riders

Here, here!
I had an incident whilst out with Kat on the Bros and if the d**k head had ended up spread across the front of a six-legger, it was entirely of his own doing. One of those front of the queue, 'filtering' at 50mph, down the outside jobs!
As Ian suggests "Lastly, this is a consultation process so if we're unhappy with the proposals we need to comment.
