Title: Springs, not a problem as such

As the MZ refurb is now almost done (has an engine and two wheels anyway), I started sorting through the pile of bits. Project number 2 in one pile to be cleaned and stored, junk in another and stuff i'm not sure about in pile number 3. This pile includes a pair of shocks that are trashed; rusty springs and leaking oil. The dampers obviously need replacing, but I'm sure the springs can be recovered.

So: can you shot blast or acid strip and re-coat springs? What should I be looking for when I talk to the spray shop?
