Title: XT engine swap

I've just been given (for free) a '82 XT250. It's got a knackered engine, and I was wondering if it was possible to replace it with something bigger (XT500?) without too much modification. Has anyone any info on this swap (or any other suitable swaps)?

Hi Lightning Bob.
Sorry to break the news, but the XT500 engine won't fit in the XT250 frame.
Been there done that.
