I've been going to the show for a number of years. My friend and I drive over from Northern Ireland in his 1976 Renault 12 and stay for two days. I'll certainly call in. Get out the good biscuits! Tea, milk, one sugar, stirred anti-clockwise.

Pete... I can’t seem to find a classic bike show at the nec next weekend. There appears to be a classic CAR show, is it part of th at show?

Yes, it's the Lancaster Insurance Classic Car Show. Mostly cars but always a good number of interesting bikes. Couple of the halls are given over to different services like powder coating, tools, manuals, autojumble etc.

Oh and if I do manage to get down. Mines tea with NO sugar and I’m not fussed which way it’s stirred. Although I do prefer YORKSHIRE tea bags 😜??

Forgot to say, there is a motorcycle auction on the Sunday as well. Look up the different lots on the Silverstone Auctions website. Show motorcycles are usually in Hall 5.

Check out the "Book Tickets" section as it looks like all tickets for the Saturday are sold out. Car parking is about £16 per day.

This Royal Enfield looks interesting, wonder how much it will sell for. Hope to see you on Saturday morning all being well. Leaving here soon to catch the 4am ferry over to Cairnryan. Staying at a Premier Inn near Tamworth on Friday and Saturday nights. I would like to put my request in now for the Hobnobs, Saturday and Sunday. :P :P

Thanks from me too. Some interesting bikes and I like to see the Triumph 2000 - I had a later 2500S in the early 1980s and it was a great car with a lovely straight 6 engine.
I haven't been to that show for a very long time and the last time the bike section was quite small. Is it bigger these days, and what's the jumble like?

To be honest Ian, the bike bit is still quite small - 4 1/2 halls of cars and 1/2 Hall of bikes. I'd never pay the £40 plus £17 car parking to go personally, but I got free entry.! I did enjoy it though as I like classic cars as well as bikes. The jumble for bikes was non existent, just a couple of clothing and accessory traders.

Have to agree with Pete. The bike clubs that display do a great job in the time and effort put in to make it all happen. There are a couple of stalls with "motorcycle" clothing for sale, but it's more like fashion leather jackets, the stitching would probably burst if you fell off at a standstill at the traffic lights. ;D The show is 90% about cars and the associated stuff that goes with that. I go because I like the vintage/classic cars, and the bikes are a bit of a bonus. It's definitely not worth the money going just for the bikes. The Stafford shows do that job for me.
