I must admit to enjoying a decent set of brakes and CDI - though my current Thumpette (CG125) has neither and is most enjoyable.

As I get older I find the thought of being on my knees on gravel fiddling with points less enjoyable than I did. 

Very tempted to buy something with modern gubbins as a treat to myself when I retire shortly - the Royal Enfield Interceptor is promising.
